Acting Governor Heru Delivers Final Opinion on Three Draft Regional Regulations

Acting Jakarta Governor, Heru Budi Hartono, delivered his final opinion on the Draft Regional Regulation (Raperda) about Changes to the Regional Revenue and Expenditure Budget (APBD) for the 2024 Fiscal Year and the Regional Spatial Plan (RTRW) of Jakarta Province for 2024-2044, as well as the Jakarta Long-Term Regional Development Plan (RPJPD) for 2025-2045.

Heru said that the agreement in determining the Raperda and RPJPD is a form of good synergy between the executive and legislative. This synergy must be continued intensively and professionally to produce various strategic work programs that are beneficial for Jakarta residents.
"In order to realize Jakarta as a Global City, it is hoped that the economy in Jakarta will continue to increase and all programs and activities can be implemented well. It is also required to realize the quality of transparent and accountable governance, in order to produce good governance and be oriented to public services," Heru said, during Plenary Meeting at Jakarta City Council Building, Central Jakarta, Tuesday (8/20).

Regarding the RTRW Draft Regulation, Heru explained his vision, namely "Jakarta as a Global-Scale Business City that is Resilient, Transit-Based and Digital". A transit-oriented spatial plan has been designed with a digital system and the creation of an independent residential environment. The design is a spatial development concept in order to achieve the vision of the Jakarta RTRW for 2024-2044.
"The 2024-2044 Jakarta Provincial Spatial Plan Draft Regulation which will be jointly approved has accommodated various strategic spatial issues as well as the mandate of the latest laws and regulations which are outlined in spatial planning policies to support the development of Jakarta for the next 20 years," Heru continued.
Heru hopes that long-term development can encourage Jakarta to become the center of national and Southeast Asian economic growth.
